Brian J. Kim was an integral member of the trial team that obtained a $45 million jury verdict for four children whose mother was killed by an intoxicated driver. The case was tried against both the driver and owner of the vehicle who knowingly gave the keys to the intoxicated driver. Liability against the owner of the vehicle was heavily disputed. At trial, the defense asked the jury to award a nominal verdict arguing that “life goes on”. The jury disagreed and awarded a verdict of $45 million to the surviving family.
