This was a police shooting case against a confidential police agency. Our client was discharged from a mental health facility; the following day, a well-intentioned person saw him waving his hands in the air and called 911 to try and get him some help. He was unarmed and committed no crime. 17 minutes later, he was shot by an officer who did not follow the department’s crisis intervention training.
