This case arose from a low speed rear-end collision with virtually no visible property damage to the involved vehicles. Our client, who was the passenger, suffered a concussion and post-concussion syndrome. During three hard-fought years of litigation, the defense did everything under the sun to try and make our client out to be a liar and a fraud – subjecting her to several years of being followed by private investigators who took video and photographs of her “looking normal”. Mild traumatic brain injuries are invisible injuries that are difficult to prove. These types of cases do not involve injuries that can be easily seen like a broken arm or leg. After intense litigation, our team peeled back all of the onion layers of our client’s case, establishing sufficient force to cause a brain injury, and most importantly, the severity and daily impact of her injury. Once the injury was brought to life, the defense paid $750,000 – significantly higher than the measly $30,000 that they offered to our client’s prior attorney. This was a huge win for a very deserving client.
