While riding his bike, our client was run over by a commercial bus and dragged 150 feet. He made a miraculous recovery following the incident and did not require any orthopedic surgeries. Defendant blamed our client for crossing on a “do-not-walk” signal and for not walking the bike across the street. Defendants also procured adverse witness statements putting our client at fault. After a three-year fight, we were able to convince opposing counsel that their driver should have seen our client prior to making a turn. In the end both sides would concede that both the bus driver and our client were at fault, however our client was injured and compensation was necessary. The case settled just a few weeks before trial.
