Our client suffered from Parkinson’s disease which made him very vulnerable to abuse. His own family members took advantage of his disabilities and stole approximately $40,000 from him. We filed a lawsuit and alleged dependent adult abuse, fraud, and conversion of property against his siblings. After a long, drawn-out fight with family, we eventually obtained a settlement of $325,000 to compensate him for the $40,000 stolen and the emotional turmoil and stress that he suffered in the process.
